Samsung has unveiled its new stylus-toting, plus-sized, storage-heavy Note9 handset, as well as a health-and-wellbeing-focused smartwatch and a Bixby-powered smart speaker at an event in New York overnight.
The South Korean multinational says it’s hoping to push Galaxy-centric connectivity through home, lifestyle and work, with a focus on gaming and millennial entrepreneurs.
There’s a lot Galaxy Note die-hards will recognise, including a massive screen, hidden stylus and dual cameras, but there are a few stand-out additions. Samsung Electronics Australia Vice President Garry McGregor points specifically to a long-lasting battery, ample storage and more speed.
“It’s quite simply the best smartphone we’ve ever brought to market. The reason its the best smartphone is it’s got the biggest battery which gives you comfortable full day usage,” he says.
The Note9 packs a 4000mAh battery, a huge improvement on the Note8’s 3300mAh.
